The "Projek Bekalan Air Luar Bandar (BALB) Kawasan Long Laput" initiative aims to improve water delivery infrastructure in Long Laput, a rural district in Sarawak's Miri Division. The Kementerian Kemajuan Luar Bandar Dan Wilayah commissioned this project, which is budgeted at RM10 million.

The primary goal of this project is to provide Long Laput people with a consistent and clean water supply, thereby improving their quality of life and promoting the area's growth. The project entails considerable civil and structural work to provide a reliable and efficient water supply network.

The project has made 73.58% physical progress and is currently in the building phase. This represents significant progress towards completion, with continued work focussing on installing and finalizing the required infrastructure.
This project is critical to meeting the Long Laput community's water supply needs, ensuring access to safe drinking water, and contributing to the region's general well-being and growth.
